Dr Mounika Reddy Polu

Dr Mounika Reddy Polu is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 9 years of experience, trained in MBBS and DNB Ophthalmology from LVPEI, with a Fellowship in Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Services from FSEH.

She is experienced in performing comprehensive visual system examinations as well as sub-speciality assessments, including Slit-lamp Biomicroscopy, Indirect and Direct Ophthalmoscopy, Gonioscopy, Tonometry, Ultrasonography, Yag Capsulotomy and Yag PI, along with Pentacam and Orbscan assessment, Biometry evaluation, Visual fields assessment and Retinal diagnostics.

Her clinical focus includes the medical management of sub-speciality diseases such as corneal diseases, Glaucoma, Thyroid ophthalmopathy, Squint, Neuro-ophthalmic diseases, Uveitis and Retinopathy, and she is confident in assessing cornea, chemical injuries and trauma patients, and evaluating and managing patients for refractive surgery.

Her surgical experience spans SICS, Phacoemulsification with Anterior Vitrectomy, Pterygium surgeries, Corneal and Scleral tear repairs, AMG transplantation, Keratoplasty (Therapeutic, Penetrating and Lamellar), SLET, Collagen Cross Linking, Refractive surgeries and Intravitreal injections.
