Foreign Bodies Removal

Dust, metal fragments, wood or plant matter and insect debris are among the most common objects that lodge on the eye's surface, often during grinding, welding, gardening or a windy commute. Attempting removal at home can scratch the cornea or push the particle deeper, so we assess and manage this in a sterile clinical setting. Metallic fragments left in place can also leave a rust ring, which needs careful clearing once the eye is stable.
